Bates machines are nothing like any of the others on the market.

The filter cleaning system is unique to Bates. There are many which use compressed air but Bates uses it more efficiently. We never sell replacement filters, even for production machines used continuous for more than four years. In addition, this cleaning system is completely microprocessor managed and adapted for the customer’s use.

The motors used by Bates have perhaps the same body as those of some other machine manufacturers but they are wound in a special way.

The variable speed drives used are configured in a way that feathers the torque. In other words, it is not possible to brake a shaft, even when roughing. This means that during polishing, the rotation speed will always be constant. This is essential for achieving perfect polishing.
