Technical Description MicroFinishing and Lapping Film

MicroFinishing and Lapping films are made from minerals with very uniform particle sizes. Their calibrated and oriented grains give a better cut once spread on to an artificial resin (this must be deposited on a very accurate polyester film). This process is used in the watchmaking industry for grinding watch cases, bracelets, bezels, mineral glasses, etc.

Unlike typical adhesives, this product is completely resistant to water, oils and solvents. It is because of the regular size of the calibrated and oriented grains that a completely even finish is obtained. The MicroFinishing and the Lapping film are strong and will not tear. The Lapping film allows a smooth surface to be obtained while keeping angles sharp on bodies and mineral glasses.
